Plenty of countries have decided to simplify the process of obtaining an online visa for Luxembourg citizens. The Vietnamese government has transferred the entire process to the Internet.
To apply for a Vietnamese visa for Luxembourg citizens, each applicant only needs a couple of spare minutes instead of making the appointment with the closest Embassy.
Most likely, all the required documents are already in your possession. Before you apply for an electronic visa(eVisa), prepare your passport and a device with Internet access.
Once the government of Vietnam approves your application, you will receive an email with a pdf file. All you will need to do is print it out and carry it with you to the airport.
There is no need for you to obtain any stickers, or any additional documentation while traveling with your granted eVisa and a valid passport.
What is the difference between a regular and electronic Vietnam visa for Luxembourg citizens?
The previous method of obtaining a Vietnam visa for Luxembourg citizens demanded an appointment with the closest Embassy or a consulate.
Each applicant needed to have plenty of time before their departure and be able to provide all the required documents in physical form to an employee of an embassy or consulate.
If, after the time-consuming process, the government decided to grant you a visa, you had to provide them with your passport so they could print a sticker out and paste it into one of your passport pages.
The process of applying online for a Vietnamese visa for a citizen of Luxembourg has changed drastically. It’s no longer required to apply for a visa at the Embassy as long as the applicant is planning on visiting the country in either business or tourism purposes.
To complete an application, you only need to prepare a valid passport, an email address, and a credit card. The process doesn’t require more time than a couple of minutes.
Once you will provide all the necessary details and complete your application with payment, you will only need to wait a few days to receive the document to your email address.
The processing time usually does not exceed three working days; however, if it does, it doesn’t mean that your application will be rejected. Sometimes, the government requires more time to consider your application.
What documents should I prepare before I apply online?
The documents required by the government from each applicant to provide vary depending on the intended purpose of entry to Vietnam. An eVisa enables Luxembourg citizens to enter Vietnam in either tourism or business purposes.
An electronic visa does not authorize any labor activities. If you are planning on taking a paid job during your stay in Vietnam, you should apply for a work permit at the closest Embassy or consulate.
Those who intend to cross the Vietnamese border as a tourist will only be requested to attach two additional documents. Each person needs to attach a passport biodata page copy and a photograph of an applicant.
The Vietnamese government requires both of them to be clear and without any glares. The picture of an applicant can also be a selfie; it doesn’t need to be a professional photograph.
